Vacant Position Full Professor (W3) in Hybrid Intelligence in Organizations

We are seeking qualified applicants for teaching and research in the area of hybrid intelligence in organizations. The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date. Applicants should engage with corporate decision making processes in interaction with human and artificial intelligence, thereby analyzing the impacts of hybrid intelligence on effectiveness/efficiency/acceptance in corporate functions and cross-functional coordination mechanisms. This might also include the modeling of business proc esses with the help of/via AI, as well as issues of corporate digital responsibility. The applicant will further enhance the School’s quantitative approach to research and teaching and have published in highly ranked journals of business or economics.

The successful candidate will heighten the profile of the School of Business and Economics in the context of digitization/AI. The candidate will be expected to advance the strategic initiatives of both the School and the University, including the acquisition of third-party funding. In addition to providing teaching to students of business administration and engineering, the candidate will be expected to engage in new interdisciplinary teaching programs, e.g. in the areas of business mathematics or business informatics/information systems.

Vacant Position for a Professor (W3) in "Data & Business Analytics"

We are seeking qualified applicants for teaching and research in the area of data & business analytics. The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date. Applicants should work on business/economic issues that create a data-driven foundation for operational and strategic decisions in companies, organizations and markets. They will further enhance the quantitative orientation of the School and will have demonstrated their expertise through publications in highly ranked business or economics journals. Applicants will have strong methodological expertise in the application or further development of machine learning approaches and/or statistical and econometric methods in the fields of predictive or prescriptive analytics. Possible specializations may include fields such as causal inference or deep learning. Content -related applications can come from all areas of business and economics.

The successful applicant will be expected to advance the strategic initiatives of both the School and the University, including the acquisition of third-party funding. Vacant Position for Junior Professorship "Energy Management in Developing Countries" (W1)

For the next possible date, a personality is sought to represent the subject "Energy Management in Developing Countries" in research and teaching. The research of the professorship focuses on economic modeling and analysis of energy systems in developing countries. Specific research topics may include the study of value chains and their cost structures, institutional frameworks in developing countries, as well as capacity building and agency with a view to the entire energy system. Methodological knowledge of sustainability management approaches (e.g. life cycle assessment), quantitative and empirical modeling or simulation techniques is desired. Willingness to contribute to the implementation and operation of the WASCAL master's program "International Master on Energy and Green Hydrogen Technology" funded by the BMBF is required.
