Master's degree - and after?
Once they have completed their master's degree, many students are faced with the question of where their next step on the career ladder will take them.At this point, female students in particular often decide in favor of a direct job entry and against the possibility of a PhD.
For this reason, Professors Paluch, Balleer and Harbring once again invited the female master's students of the WiWi faculty to an information event on doing a doctorate. In a relaxed atmosphere, the interested female master students were able to inform themselves about the possibilities of a PhD, but also about the advantages and disadvantages that go along with it. Especially informative were the individual paths of the female professors to their doctorate. Afterwards, the students were able to talk to some of the present postdocs and doctoral students of the WiWi faculty and pick up relevant tips.
