Association of Friends and Supporters of the School of Business and Economics "WiWi Network"
Over the last 37 years, the Association of Friends and Supporters of the School of Business and Economics ("Förderverein der Wirtschaftswissenschaften der RWTH, WiWi-Network") has been committed to maintaining and intensifying ties between academia and business and industry by establishing contacts between managers, firms, university teachers, students, and graduates and encouraging a regular exchange of ideas between them all. Maintaining contacts between graduates of the School of Business and Economics and their alma mater, RWTH Aachen University, is a principal goal of the Association. The Association supports the School of Business and Economics in terms of both ideas and tangible assistance: promoting the School to the public and sponsoring projects of the School. Members of the Association are informed on a regular basis of the current activities of the School.
Aims of the Association
The Association has two principal aims: maintaining and intensifying collaboration in and around Aachen between the School and business and industry on the one hand, and on the other hand maintaining ties between graduates of the School and their alma mater.
Members of the Association are particularly appreciative of the personal contacts that are kept alive between business and industry and the University and its alumni.
The minimum membership contribution for individual members is 20€, for institutional members 50 €, and for students 10 €. The Tax Office Aachen-Stadt recognizes the Association as a non-profit organization.

With its cross-boundary approach, the Association supports the School of Business and Economics both with ideas and tangible assistance: it informs the public about the School's projects, promotes these and also provides funding. The Association keeps its members regularly informed of the latest activities of the School.
The Association of Friends and Supporters of the School of Business and Economics is the key sponsor of the School's annual Graduation Ceremony. Without the generous support of the Association, the School would not be in a position to give its graduates such a festive send-off. Furthermore, the Association donates the School's Award for Teaching and the Award for the Best Students of the Year. The School's "Nobel Prize" Lecture, which, since 2015, has introduced the work of the latest winner of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences alongside the work of an earlier winner, is also generously supported by the Association.
