Initiation of Doctoral Proceedings (§13)
Upon receipt of the submitted documents, the Chairperson of the Doctoral Admissions Board informs the School's teaching staff pursuant to § 35 HG, the members of the School who hold a habilitation, and the members of the School Council about the doctoral candidate's application and about the foreseen Assessors pursuant to § 4. The Chairperson also provides a brief summary of the thesis. These persons then have 2 weeks' time in which they may make observations. In the absence of any observations, doctoral proceedings are initiated 1 working day later. Upon initiation of doctoral proceedings, the Assessors and the Doctoral Committee are appointed. The applicant will receive without delay written confirmation of initiation together with the names of the Assessors and further members of the Doctoral Committee.
