Application for Approval of Admission Requirement Fulfillment (§11)
Any person who intends to gain a doctoral degree from the School of Business and Economics at RWTH Aachen University must, pursuant to § 11 PromO (Regulations Governing Doctoral Proceedings), submit an Application for Approval of Admission Requirement Fulfillment. This Application is not to be confused with the actual Application for Admission to the Doctoral Examination pursuant to § 12 PromO!
If any of the submitted documents are written in a language other than German or English, then an officially certified translation from a sworn translator (with original stamp/seal: no photocopies!) will also be required. By submitting an Application for Approval of Admission Requirement Fulfillment, the applicant recognizes the current Regulations Governing Doctoral Proceedings of the School of Business and Economics at RWTH Aachen University.
The acceptance of an applicant by the School of Business and Economics may be subject to specific conditions being imposed, such as the applicant having to undertake supplementary studies or examinations. The applicant will receive written confirmation from the Doctoral Admissions Board on whether her or his Application for Approval of Admission Requirement Fulfillment has been successful or not.
The following documents and information must be submitted with your Application for Approval of Admission Requirement Fulfillment (§ 11)

The prospective topic of the doctoral thesis.

Written confirmation from a university professor in the School of Business and Economics at RWTH Aachen University that she or he is prepared to supervise the applicant's doctoral thesis and, inasmuch, to enter into a Supervision Agreement with the applicant.

Evidence (i.e. officially certified copies) of academic requirement fulfillment) pursuant to §§ 8 - 10 PromO (Regulations Governing Doctoral Proceedings).

A full academic resumé in German or English in tabular form.

Evidence (i.e. officially certified copies) of any other completed programs of study or examinations taken and a declaration of any previous, unsuccessful attempts to gain a doctoral degree.
