Prof. Dr. Almut Balleer (RWTH) | Almut Balleer was born in 1979. She gained her doctoral degree from the University of Bonn, also visiting the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona on a Marie Curie research grant from the European Doctoral Program. In 2009 she became Assistant Professor at the Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES) at Stockholm University, where she has been a research affiliate since 2015. She has also been a research professor with the Ifo Institute in Munich since 2013.In September 2012 she became Professor of Empirical Economic Research in the School of Business and Economics at RWTH Aachen University. | Details: Balleer | |
Prof. Tomás Farchi (HEC Paris in Qatar) | Tomas Farchi is an Professor at the HEC Paris in Qatar. In addition to that, he is a Visiting Scholar at University of Oxford. From there he gained both his MSc in Management Research and his PhD in Management. As part of his research, he has closely worked with the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), the Oxford, Cambridge and UCL Biomedical Research Centres and the Oxford University Hospitals. Findings from his research have been published or accepted for publication in leading international outlets such as the Journal of Product Innovation Management, and The International Journal of Innovation Management. | Details: Farchi | |
Dr. Özgür Gürerk (University of Cologne) | Özgür Gürerk was born in Erzurum (Turkey) in 1975 and has lived in Germany since 1991. He studied economics at the University of Bonn and worked as a student assistant to Prof. Dr. Reinhard Selten at the Bonn Laboratory for Experimental Economics. In 2001, he was appointed as a research assistant and the manager of the Laboratory for Experimental Economics at the University of Erfurt, where he gained his doctoral degree - Dr.rer.pol. - in 2007. In 2011, he completed a research stay at the University of Nottingham, England. In May 2013, he joined RWTH Aachen University as Professor of Experimental Economics, returning to the University of Erfurt in April 2019. Since July 2022, Özgür Gürerk has held the position of Senior Research Associate with the Department of Corporate Development and Business Ethics at the University of Cologne. | Details: Gürerk | |
Dr. Bastian Kindermann (TU Dortmund) | Bastian Kindermann is an Assistant Professor at Technische Universität Dortmund. After gaining his bachelor’s degree in “Management and Economics” in Germany, he went to the UK to receive his master’s degree from Cambridge University. Afterwards he worked as a Controlling Analyst at Cencosud S.A. in Chile. He gained his PhD from RWTH Aachen University and spent a research stay at University of St Andrews and Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests are Theory Building, Theory Development, Marketing Strategy and Innovation Collaboration. | Details: Kindermann | |
Prof. Dr. Peter Letmathe (RWTH) | Peter Letmathe studied business administration at the University of Bielefeld. He received his PhD (awarded with summa cum laude) from University GH Essen and completed his postdoctoral stage with his habilitation on “Flexible Standardization” at Ruhr-University Bochum. He became appointed Professor of Environmental and Technology Management at the University of Bayreuth. Between 2002 and 2011 he held the chair of Value Chain Management. Since October 2011 he has held the Chair of Management Accounting at RWTH Aachen University and is dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics since 2018. He has had multiple international visiting professorships and practical experience of more than two years in the furniture industry and more than 50 projects with industrial firms. | Details: Letmathe | |
Prof. Ph.D. Richard Weber (Universidad de Chile) | Dr. Richard Weber was born in Germany in 1960. He is Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the Universidad de Chile. He holds a Diplom degree in mathematics (1986) and a Master as well as a Ph.D. in operations research (1992) from RWTH Aachen University. His research interests are Data Mining, Dynamic Data Mining, Feature Selection, and Applications of Data Mining in the Financial Sector and in Adversarial Settings. | Details: Weber |
