Funds for Quality Improvement

Since the winter semester 2011/2012, universities in North Rhine-Westphalia have been receiving funds for quality improvement in order to compensate for the loss of incoming tuition fees, which have meanwhile been abolished. Similarly to the former tuition fees, the funds for quality improvement are intended to be used to enhance teaching and learning at universities. Pursuant to the principles of RWTH Aachen University, the School of Business and Economics has established a committee for coordinating the allocation of these funds. The committee consists of members of the student body, of the professorial staff, and of the academic and non-academic employees in the School. Conforming with statutory requirements, the student body has a majority representation.

Allocation of the funds for quality improvement is based on a concept oriented towards the earlier allocation of tuition fees. A more detailed overview is available on the webpages of the University Administration.
