Student Representative Body of the School ("Fachschaft")

Each Faculty or School has its own Fachschaft – the student representative body for all students studying with that particular Faculty or School. It is comprised of active and highly motivated students who represent the interests of all fellow students, particularly in the Faculty/School Councils, in the Senate of RWTH Aachen University, and in other committees and organizations.

The Fachschaft of the School of Business and Economics is also a point of contact where students can go for information and advice. The Fachschaft compiles and publishes informative leaflets for students and organizes social get-togethers for new students and parties for all students.

There is also a broad palette of other student organizations, ranging from »Market Team« (Germany's biggest interdisciplinary student network), across to »AIESEC« (the largest international student organization) and »Bonding« (a well-known initiative in the area of job fairs that put students in contact with companies), over to »AEGEE« (European Students Forum / Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l’Europe). All of these organizations have local groups here in Aachen and provide an excellent platform for acquiring social and leadership competencies.
