We are pleased to announce that Professor Christian Grund, head of the Chair of Human Resource Management and Personnel Economics, has received an award as part of the University's "FAMOS für Familie" program. Every year, RWTH Aachen University conveys awards to members of the University in managerial positions who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to ensuring compatibility between family, care, and career for their employees. The award ceremony was held for the fifteenth time on May 9, 2022, paying tribute virtually to the awardees of the year 2022. All university employees had had the opportunity to nominate their supervisors beforehand, and a jury ultimately decided on the award winners.

"The award shows that dialog and a positive and appreciative approach to getting along with each other are very important at RWTH University," explained Sabine Brück-Dürkop, Vice-Rector for Human Resources Management and Development. RWTH's Equal Opportunity Officer, Dr. Ulrike Brands-Proharam Gonzalez, emphasized that the award demonstrates how many examples of best practice in this area the University already has. Deputy Chancellor Thomas Trännapp noted that RWTH’s family-friendly approach is a very significant factor because, for example, family-friendly working conditions are essential when it comes to attracting the best people to RWTH Aachen University.
