Prof. Dr. Malte Brettel honored for commitment to start-ups and entrepreneurship
Prof. Dr. Brettel was honored by UNIPRENEURS for his commitment to start-ups and entrepreneurship.
The UNIPRENEURS award is considered the highest recognition in Germany for outstanding commitment in the field of entrepreneurship. For exactly this award, Prof. Dr. Malte Brettel, holder of the Chair of Economics for Engineers and Scientists at our faculty, has now been selected from 700 nominations as one of 20 professors from Germany.
Over the years, more than 70 companies have been founded by employees and doctoral students from Brettel's chair. Furthermore, he has established the RWTH Aachen University incubator and helped set up the Collective Incubator, a physical platform located on campus for exchange between students, scientists and companies.
"I am very happy that UNIPRENEURS recognizes and honors the commitment and engagement of the many professors," says Prof. Dr. Malte Brettel about the UNIPRENEURS award.
Along with Prof. Dr. Malte Brettel, Prof. Antonello Monti, holder of the Automation of Complex Power Systems chair at RWTH, also received the award.
